Getting to Bangalore
Air
Indian Airlines connects Bangalore by regular flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai,

Bangalore Airport is located about 8 km from the M.G. Road area in the city.
Airport coach transfers run by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation,
tourist taxis, prepaid taxi services and auto-rickshaws provide convenient and
speedy transfers to and from the airport.
Rail
Bangalore is connected to the rest of the country both by metre gauge and broad
gauge rail services. lt is an important railway station on the southern railway
network. On the broad gauge it is connected to New Delhi, Chennai-2639 Brindavan
Express and 6007 Mail Mumbai-6529 Udyan Express, and to Calcutta by express

Road
Bangalore is located at the junction of National. Highway 4, 7 and 48 which
connect it to all parts of the country with good roads. All neighbouring State
Road Transport Corporations, from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh,
Maharashtra and Goa, connect the city with their respective states. In addition
the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation also runs reciprocal services to

Terminus is located near the railway station.
Getting around Bangalore
The city bus service is efficient and economical but is usable only during
non-peak hours. The other common modes of transport in the city are tbe metered
auto-rickshaws and tourist taxis. KSTDC maintains a fleet of cars for hire. The
number of yellow tops is limited in the city.
